GHS Safety Data Sheets in Transportation and Warehouse Environments

In a warehouse environment, staying safe means being informed. This course provides a comprehensive overview of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) as mandated by OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HAZCOM). You will learn how the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) standardizes hazardous material information across the globe using clear language and universal pictograms. • Understand the purpose of the Hazard Communication Standard and the role of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS).
• Identify where to locate Safety Data Sheets in the facility or while on the road.
• Recognize the 16 standard sections of an SDS and the specific type of information found in each.
